Working with Brackley Rotary club, we are supporting Romanian charity FAST who are making a massive difference for the local Rroma communities. Fast run a number of programmes including ‘better homes’ which is providing houses for some of the most impoverished families, The Fast Centre which provides daycare/kindergarden style education for children from the local community, and an ongoing Education programme supporting schools and kindergardens in 4 villages. In addition to a School in a Box, Green Standards are supporting fast financially to provide meals for the children, and funding a full time teacher at the centre.

Throught the Waste to Wonder Warehouse we have been able to support hundreds of local Schools, charities and hospices. With charities benefitting from as little as a desk and chair to the complete furniture refurbishment of a large office comlex in London (Muslim Aid) local organisations finally have access to infrastructure equipment which would have been difficult or in same cases impossible for them to have afforded. The first School in a Box was sent to Morocco in 2005 since then a total of 3 x 40ft container loads of equipment have been sent to support schools throughout Morocco. IT Provision is particularly important in the area and to date over 300 PCs and other IT equipment have been provided to CDRT a French/Moroccon charity which is trying to reduce the gap between the first world and this developing country. We recently provided the Born Free Foundation with a 40ft container laden with equipment which is now supporting conservation efforts through the Limbe Wildlife Centre in Cameroon. We were also able to support a local school and orphanage which will provide educational provisions for years to come. Turning Waste into Wonder

Established in 2002 the Big Bright Future Trust (formerly the Green Standards Trust) exists to support as many conservation, education and health organisations as possible around the world. We do this through the redistribution of furniture and IT equipment from the business sector, this has the added benefit of protecting our local environment.

Big Bright Future is a unique programme which redistributes office equipment, IT and other items from the business sector and supports school building and equipping programmes in some of the world’s poorest regions. Since its inception in 2004 we have supported educational provisions in Morocco, South Africa, Liberia, Kenya, The Philippines, Ghana and Romania in total we have supported an approximate 600,000 children worldwide by providing them with desks, chairs, storage cabinets, stationery, computers, printers, fax machines, air conditioners and a variety of additional infrastructure equipment. The Programme is ongoing and we have BBF boxes scheduled for China, Sierra Leone and Malawi later this year and an ever growing list of countries in planning stages. Doc in a Box

Wellingara health clinic in The Gambia

A natural offshoot of the Big Bright Future programme, Doc in a Box supports impoverished areas with medical infrastructure, the first Doc in a Box shipped to The Gambia in 2009 and included hospital beds, wheel chairs, first aid and bandages, antibiotic hand wash and heaps more. The container also included furniture and IT equipment which is supporting local schools.
